🌟 'Myth-busting' Campaign to Boost North Yorkshire Tourism
A new marketing campaign is set to position North Yorkshire as a "must-visit destination," aiming to dispel misconceptions about the area. This follows a surge in tourism driven by cultural and leisure events in Scarborough, Whitby, and Filey. Highlights include Scarborough Spa’s record-breaking pantomime featuring Anne Hegerty, Whitby Pavilion’s cinema success, and the Scarborough Lights festival with over 50 installations.
The “There’s More to North Yorkshire” campaign, running from May to July, will challenge outdated perceptions of the region. Additional campaigns are planned for 2025, alongside industry events helping businesses engage with tourism initiatives. Visit North Yorkshire recently promoted the area at a major media conference in London.
