π70 Years Young: Stephen Joseph Theatre's Spectacular Summer Lineup π
Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre (SJT) is marking its 70th anniversary with a cracking summer season full of laughter, drama and celebration.
From 3 - 26 July, catch Pride and Prejudice reimagined by award-winning playwright Kate Hamill. Itβs witty, sharp and brings Austen's world to life in a fresh new way.
Then, it's curtain-up on chaos with Noises Off (9 Augustβ6 September), Michael Frayn's legendary backstage comedy, staged in the round for the first time at SJT.
Alan Ayckbourn returns with his 91st play, Earth Angel (13 September - 11 October), a heartfelt story of grief and unexpected encounters. The theatre also celebrates its legacy with an extraordinary one-night revival of Circle of Love (13 July), the first play ever staged by SJT, plus a tribute weekend, Actors, Audiences and Ayckbourn (26 - 28 September).
For families, The Owl and the Pussycat went to see (29 - 31 May), which is a whimsical musical adventure performed by SJT's talented youth groups.
