🏆 Cayton Dance Academy Shines at British Competition

Scarborough’s Anne Taylor’s Academy of Dance celebrated major success at the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) National Freestyle Scholarships in Glasgow last weekend.

Competition Highlights:

  • 23 dancers from the academy were selected by BATD examiners to compete.

  • Isabella Quest won among 137 senior dancers nationwide, while Lola Boyes, Amy Dicks, Lacee Adams, and Molly Hartnett reached the finals.

  • Accreditations were awarded to Lola Boyes, Amy Dicks, and Isabella Quest.

Additional Achievements:

  • Ava Thornton was a Hip Hop finalist.

  • Olivia Smith reached the final in the slow dance category.

  • Amisha Atkinson, Willow Thornton, and Sophie Rudilton were Junior Scholarship Finalists among 157 competitors.

The academy praised all its dancers for their exceptional performances, dedication, and talent. More

💰 £20M Plan to Transform Scarborough

North Yorkshire Council has unveiled a £20 million regeneration plan to boost jobs, transport, and housing. Set to begin in 2026, it aims to improve town centres, education, and local services. More

🏃 Scarborough AC Runners Shine at Haworth Hobble
